Hello, I am Mark Wheatley aka Marko a visual artist based in West Sussex, UK.

The work begins without preconceived ideas, shapes and forms emerge through a playful and instinctive process.

I don’t think in terms of abstract or figurative, the work falls somewhere in between, each painting or sculpture generates its own enigmatic personality. I am interested in how dialogues emerge between shapes and the spaces they inhabit, this is where the work embodies a certain energy and power.
